WOMEN ARE SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, November 12, 2006

Well that's officially it.  I am no longer a college football player as of today.  My career is over.  It's been a ride, I'll tell you what.  6-4, 6-4, 5-5, and finishing off this season with 7-3 (with a 15-12 win over Hastings today).  That's the best record we've had since 2000 when we won the conference and went to playoffs.  Any other year and this would have been a playoff record, but we happened to get all 3 of the good teams having a good year.  But oh well, I'm just extremely happy with this season.  When we were taking the knees to end the game today, on the last one, the 3 of us seniors that were in just hugged eachother and we all broke down.  That's pretty much the way it went for a solid 20-25 minutes after the game.  I'm going to miss it more than I can even say.  But I was given an opportunity to do what a vast majority of high school football players ever get to do.  I would not take any of my football experiences, good or bad, back for anything in the world.  I just can't believe it's over.  It seems like it was just yesterday I was meeting with Coach Keller my senior year in high school.  Oh how the time flies when you're having fun.  I'm going to miss every senior that I've played with for 4 years and all the underclassmen that made it fun.  It's the whole family experience that made it really worthwhile and I appreciate everything that I was given to make this happen.

Peace.

Welp... I'm never going to play football at Abel Stadium ever again.  Kinda sucks.  We had our Senior Day yesterday for our game against Concordia (which we won 26-19).  It was hard when we recognized all of us.  We had the whole rest of the team line up in a tunnel sort of thing and then the announcer said something about all of the seniors and we ran out individually.  Shaking everyone's hand as they got ready to run out was hard.  It's wierd knowing that we won't ever get to play in front of that crowd again (no matter how small it is, lol).  But I'm glad I got to experience it and I wouldn't take it back for anything.

Peace.
